Meet Canto. He’s my very first foster puppy with NYCSCR, and he’s full of love and looking for his forever home!

Canto is 14 weeks old and came up from Alabama after being found in a crate on the side of the road with his mom and littermates. Despite his tough start, he’s a total sweetheart and full of joy..

He loves cuddles, power walking, and playing chase with his best buddy, Linus dog. He’s quite the social butterfly — super playful, affectionate, and always excited to make new friends. He’s been so sweet and gentle with the children he’s met, and he plays really well with other dogs too.

Canto is also picking up leash walking and potty training quickly — we’re seeing daily improvements. He’s smart, eager to please, and will bring a smile to your face..
